Owen founded Gatehouse in 1999 after spending 45 years in the business. He worked for many major organisations in a managerial role, the introduction of the Aviation Security legislation led him to being appointed security manager for a major forwarder, he assisted the Department for Transport on road shows introducing the new regime. He became a DGSA upon its introduction in 1999 and had varied expertise in the transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air (IATA) and Sea (IMDG). Owen also held various other qualifications including a Diploma in Safety Management.
Julie has worked for the company since 2005 and became Managing Director in 2011. She has over 15 years’ experience in Health and Safety working for a varied range of companies. She is certified by the DfT as an Aviation Security instructor and able to offer training at all levels for known consignor’s and regulated agents. Julie is also a DGSA and can offer training in dangerous goods by Air, Road and Sea.

Sian has been with GCaT since 2008 and is the Compliance Director. She is a qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser, experienced Health and Safety Consultant and trainer. Sian has an NVQ5 Diploma in Occupation Health and Safety Management and specialised in Manual Handling and Display Screen Equipment. Sian has enjoyed over 10 years of completing site audits and delivering training for Aviation Security, Dangerous Goods and Health and Safety for a wide range of customer giving her excellent industry knowledge.

We are a training company approved to provide Air Cargo Security Training and National X-Ray Competency Tests (NXCT).
CASP – Cargo Aviation Security Principles – Persons requiring general security awareness.
CO – Cargo Operative – Persons Implementing security controls for air cargo or mail.
COS – Cargo Operative Screening – Persons implementing screening of air cargo or mail.
CS – Cargo Supervisor.
CM – Cargo Manager.
Known Consignors training covering all modules (1-8) up to Responsible Person level.
